- A child must be 5 years old on 1st of April in the academic year in which admission is being sought for admission in class I. For subsequent classes, the eligible age would be reckoned again with reference to 1st of April with a proportionate increase over 5 years.
- An upper age limit for admission is fixed as the minimum age limit plus two years. No child would be eligible for admission in a class if the age is more than this maximum age prescribed. There would be a relaxation of two year in age for handicapped children.
- For Class Nursery – No admission test would be conducted for admission to class Nursery.
- Class I to Class IX and Class XI- for admission to these classes an admission test would be conducted and a merit list prepared for each category of priority separately. Admission would be given in order of merit.
- Candidates securing less than 35% marks in each subject and less than 40% marks in aggregate would not be eligible for admission.
- Admission test would be of the level of the annual examination of the class preceding the one to which admission is being sought.
- An admission test would be conducted in the following subjects :-
- Primary classes (except class I) – English, Hindi & Maths.
- Middle classes – Hindi, English, Maths & General Knowledge.
- Secondary classes – Hindi, English, Maths, Social Studies and Science.
